The story of little swiss
In the late 1970ies the swiss couple Charlotte and Hans-Peter lived already for 6 years in Cairo, then they had to went back to Switzerland. Because they were so fascinated of Cairo and the Egyptians they came back in summer 2008. After they´ve found a location, they made their dream of a swiss restaurant come true. They put a lot of love and energy in building a cozy place, where their guests would feel like being in a chalet in the swiss mountains. Finally in August 2008 the restaurant little swiss was opened in Maadi.
Charlotte and Hans-Peter started to serve the swiss classics cheese-fondue, raclette, meat-tablegrill and chocolate-fondue. To make their kitchen authentic swiss they use until today only swiss cheese, chocolate and homemade products. In 2014 they added further swiss dishes like Riz Casimir and Fillet Stroganoff to the menu. In the future additional swiss dishes like Zürcher Geschnetzeltes will find the way in the menu of little swiss.
The service of little swiss
From the beginning in 2008 until today Charlotte and Hans-Peter set great value in providing a heartfelt, personal and professional service. Therefor they invest a lot of love and energy in training of the little swiss staff. The guests of little swiss should feel like being a friend and part of the little swiss family.
The restaurant of little swiss
Charlotte created a swiss interior-concept for the restaurant. Wood, cowskin, the swiss flagg and a lot of swiss decoration items make the guests feel like being in a cozy swiss chalet. The warm and appealing atmosphere, which is little swiss famous for, in combination with the authentic swiss food picks the guests up on a culinary travel through the snow-covered mountains of Switzerland.
